The Roadmaster lives. All hail the master of the road. I got the new radiator in place, patched the oil cooler line back together with some 3/8" copper tube, a double flaring tool, and a compression fitting, and changed the oil. I bled the system of air bubbles three or four times, and then took it for a drive in the hot as hell temperature, temp gauge never moved.
I even hosed it down as a reward for not being dead.
Dat panel gap!
As you can see the right side of the hood no longer sits even with the fender. Oh well!
Here is my oil cooler line patch, materials purchased at my local hardware store. The rubber hose over the bend is just to protect it in case it rubs against the frame, it’s not holding in any fluid.
Now to celebrate with a very late lunch of Father’s Day leftovers.

All hail the Master and shop-teacher!

Close-fitting panels are overrated anyway. I am always amused by the large gaps around the tailgate.

I know! You could lose a Hot Wheels in those gaps!

Sweet! I finally got mine running again after a month long specialty starter saga, and hooked up the trailer tonight so I can help someone move a table tomorrow! Long live the B Body Roadmasters!

Just gotta get that triple A membership first. They cover tows of 100 miles, our ride home from Byron would’ve been completely covered :/
